CRDB Bank internet banking is your instant access to online financial management, where you can easily access your account information and perform various transactions securely and conveniently. Internet Banking helps you make the right, responsible, and informed financial decisions with access to your personal or business account information 24/7.

  • Create strong passwords and change them regularly. Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid common sequences (such as “1234”) and personal information (your name, your children’s names, the names of your pets, your date of birth, etc.). For optimal security, change it every 90 days.
  • Do not save your login information. This includes your username, password, answers to your security questions, and any other personal information. Do not store them on your device or on any physical medium.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your information and passwords. Never share your user information or passwords with anyone, under any circumstances.
  • Be cautious about where you log in and always log out. Even though CRDB Internet Banking is set to automatically log you out after 5 minutes of inactivity, always make sure to log out of your session once you are done.
  • Use only CRDB Bank Burundi’s official platforms. To download the CRDB Mobile OTP app, use only recognized and authorized platforms such as Google Play and the App Store.
  • Enable banking notifications. Notifications for new credit and debit transactions, failed login attempts, password change alerts, and outgoing transfer alerts are set up by the bank. It is strongly recommended not to disable them through your e-Banking service. For example, if an unauthorized person tries to log in to your account, you will be immediately informed and can report the attempt to the bank to prevent any fraudulent activity.
  • Beware of fraud attempts via email and SMS. The Bank will never ask you to share sensitive, personal, or account details, such as your username or password, by email or SMS. Never respond to such messages.
  • Log in only from your own secure, private devices. Avoid using cybercafés, public computers, or borrowed phones to access your account.
